Citizens Minutes 21st Edition. Our Solid Waste rates are going up 36% from $23.50 to $32.00 per month, first increase since 2014. Discussion and voting will be at June 3rd Auburn City Council Meeting. Do your homework!

The city will also be paying two software companies for a year for the same services while making the transfer from one company to another. Councilman Griswald felt that a year overlap was excessive.

We had a total of 4 Citizens that spoke at the Open Citizens Forum. The First Auburn Citizen spoke about the Toomer Sit in Movement, marking the 1801st day. Next citizen spoke on numerous issues such as Auburns tax abundance, to the gaudy downtown Auburn Skyscrapers, to planning left out of the Auburn Planning Commission, to the ugly forced city logo by the city manager and their words backed up with hollow data. Then a Dothan citizens spoke about a free service for drug addiction, while the last citizen ask the mayor and council where they stand concerning Auburn High School “International Transgender Day of Visibility” ribbons, No response.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said…

"There comes a time when one must take the position that is neither safe nor politic nor popular, but he must do it because conscience tells him it is right."

CITIZENS QUESTION:

Ruben ask, the City of Auburn seems to spend literally little or no time on social issues just putting roundabouts in and changing the business zoning.

Rubon, I am afraid there is a lot to your statement. We are so fortunate to have the abundance of tax revenue but I feel is not wisely spent for all the Auburn citizens. Get Informed.

But if you want to see change get your neighbor or yourself to run in representing your Ward. It looks like our mayor will be running for a third term. Find someone you trust and elect a caring mayor.
