WHAT CAUSED WASTE MANAGEMENT FEE INCREASE: EXCESS WAGES OR INCREASE EXPENSES ??

Before I start I want say how sad and disappointed I am as an Auburn citizen that our former Auburn Chief of Police and now Auburn Councilman Tommy Dawson acted in such immature and uncaring manner at me during the last council meeting.

We had a total of 6 Citizens that spoke at the Open Citizens Forum. These citizens spoke on various topics such as obstruction of road view, proposed cut to SNAP by the Big Beautiful Bill, Horseshoe Ben Regional Library, appreciation for the work of the council, Waste Management Enterprise incredible deficit because of excessive Salary, Wages, Benefits and the STR5 denying citizens property rights through arbitrary zoning laws.

Please explain what your research found out concerning the Waste management fund steep increase in yearly expenses over the last 2 years.
I had a lot citizens ask the same questions.
Well, Jodi… I looked at the numbers from 2009 to 2024 of the Waste Management Enterprise Fund. There were only marginal increases in all line items until 2023 and 2024 were the line item Salaries & Wages and Employee Benefits made up over $1million of the $1.4 million loss.
