Cam Hunt Officially Qualifies for Lee County Sheriff
Lee County, AL — Cam Hunt has submitted his qualification paper as a candidate for Lee County Sheriff, taking the next formal step in his campaign to bring principled, accountable leadership to the Sheriff’s Office.
A lifelong Lee County resident, Marine Corps veteran, and experienced law-enforcement professional, Hunt’s campaign is built on the core values of Justice, Liberty, and Accountability. His qualifications reflect a career devoted to service — from leading Marines as a commissioned officer to serving the citizens of Lee County as a law enforcement officer.
“Qualifying for this race is about more than meeting a requirement,” Hunt said. “It represents my continued commitment to the people of Lee County and my belief that the Sheriff’s Office must always operate with integrity, transparency, and respect for constitutional rights.”
Hunt’s platform emphasizes fair and consistent enforcement of the law, protection of individual liberties, and strong accountability at every level of the Sheriff’s Office. He has been clear that public trust in law enforcement is earned through leadership that serves the community, not politics.
“As Sheriff, my focus will always be on protecting our communities while upholding the rights and freedoms we are sworn to defend,” Hunt added.
With qualification complete, the Cam Hunt for Sheriff campaign will continue engaging with voters across Lee County ahead of the Republican Primary, sharing a vision for a Sheriff’s Office grounded in professionalism, community trust, and constitutional policing.
